Plain-language terms for HOM Local, optional cloud access, and the memory you own.
By using HOM, you agree to these Terms along with our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use HOM. These terms apply to HOM Local, this website, and future HOM Cloud services when available.
When you use HOM, you may save context, memories, notes, files, project details, prompts, outputs, and related information. You own that content.
HOM Local stores the personal brain on your machine by default. HOM does not use your memories to train models.
HOM Local does not require a hosted HOM account for the local edition. HOM Cloud is coming soon and will be optional for hosted access, sync, shared workspaces, and support when you choose it.
If you connect a model provider or third-party tool, you are responsible for that connection and for the information you send through it.
Do not use HOM to break the law, harm others, compromise systems, extract secrets, bypass access controls, or abuse connected providers. We may suspend hosted access for violations of these terms.
You own your data. HOM is designed around portable memory: export matters, local ownership matters, and your brain should not be locked inside one model or one provider.
HOM can work with local models and user-chosen cloud providers. Cloud model providers process the prompts and context you send to them under their own terms and privacy policies.
HOM Local is free for individual local use. Future paid plans, including HOM Cloud or organization plans, will be billed according to the checkout or agreement you choose.
HOM is provided "as is." We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. This disclaimer is made to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HOM and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability is limited to the greater of $20 USD or 100% of what you paid us in the last 12 months.
You can stop using HOM anytime. For hosted HOM services, we can suspend access for violations of these terms. If we discontinue a hosted service, we will make reasonable efforts to give notice and preserve a path to export your hosted data.
We may update these terms. For meaningful changes, we'll give you 30 days' notice via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
